Job Title: Locum Frailty / Acute Physiotherapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Carmarthen Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Duration: Ongoing Rate: £25.00 per hour Opening Paragraph: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Locum Frailty / Acute Physiotherapist to join our team in Carmarthen. This role is crucial in preventing avoidable admissions, aiding patient flow, and supporting the assessment of complex patients to reduce the risk held in A&E. You will be working with Hywel Dda, providing essential physiotherapy services to frail and acutely ill patients. Responsibilities: As a Band 5/6/7 Locum Frailty / Acute Physiotherapist you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy treatment programs for patients with complex needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient flow and reduce the risk of prolonged stays in A&E. Your role will involve providing individualized therapy sessions, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Additionally, you will be expected to educate and support patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in the therapeutic process. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall well-being and recovery of our patients. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Physiotherapy Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience working with frail and acutely ill patients, preferably in a hospital setting Strong understanding of complex patient needs and acute care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning Why work with Pulse?
