Housing Officer West Cornwall based with a balance of remote and home working £19,345 - £20,363 per year 22.5 hours per week - Wednesday to Friday - 9:00am to 17:00pm We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our Housing Operations team, based in West Cornwall where you will be a member of a smaller sub team of 8 Housing Officers who provide tenancy and estate management services to our customers. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and looking for an opportunity to learn and grow within the organisation. You will be joining an experienced team with a wealth of knowledge and willing to support progress. The role of Housing Officer will include: Visiting our schemes and customer's homes to carry out face to face transactional tasks Effective management of Anti-Social Behaviour cases Collaboration with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties Managing tenant expectations about repairs and escalating any property maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels Managing complaints about service delivery Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (Fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection) General advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting tenant welfare including Domestic Abuse, Anti-Social Behaviour and Safeguarding Working with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management process including tenancy conversions, permissions, mutual exchanges, successions and service charges Enforcement of tenancy breaches Skills and experiences: Proven history and experience with front line customer service Good understanding of internal working culture and policy and procedures Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams Knowledge of internal systems such as SAP and React is desirable Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential Why work for us?
