About the role
North Northamptonshire Council is seeking full-time Waste Collection Operatives to assist in delivering vital services to our community. If you're passionate and find joy in outdoor work, this role could be an ideal fit for you.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the collection of waste (including but not limited to household waste, food waste, garden waste, dry recycling) from residents and business premises across North Northamptonshire.
1. Collecting and emptying bins and sacks
2. Working safely and following instruction
3. Providing a high quality customer focused service at all times
About you
We need you to:
1. Be able to walk for long periods of time and carry out heavy practical work in all weathers.
2. Be flexible and positive in your approach
3. Be an effective communicator and enjoy working as part of a team
4. Be self-motivated, polite and willing to help residents
