A global company who work on some of the highest profile projects are expanding and are keen to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Plant Maintenance Team responsible for maintenance of the facility and plant. Candidates are required to have Facilities maintenance experience ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Duties:
1. Maintain existing plant and equipment providing technical support and quality service to other areas of the business.
2. Working a shift cover scheme for maintenance functions for out of hour's tasks and breakdowns.
3. Manage and control allocated Preventative Maintenance tasks on plant to maximise utilisation and ensure any potential risks are identified and managed.
4. Ensure all statutory/legal maintenance tasks adhere to company procedures, policies, and legal requirements and ensure compliance to HSE governance.
5. Ensure controls/alarms/service agreements are maintained with subcontract suppliers.
6. Communicate with customers and other members of the facilities group regarding any issues.
7. Assist in the development of best practices within Facilities.
8. Embrace new technology, seek out and apply continuous improvement techniques.
Experience:
1. Extensive experience gained within a Facilities maintenance role is essential, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
2. Must be able to work shifts consisting of five days on and three days off.
3. Experience with water systems, electrical distribution, fire alarms, air-conditioning, control systems, BEMS/Trend systems, process chillers and A/C systems preferable.
4. Experience of Preventative Maintenance.
5. NVQ (3) or above in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering is essential.
6. Experience in using Microsoft Office software and electronic tablet-based work allocation and time recording applications would be advantageous.
7. Knowledge of HSE, Risk Assessments and COSHH.
8. Experience of SAP is desirable.
9. Must be physically fit and will be expected to undertake medical on site.
10. Candidates do need to reside within a 30 minute commute of Chelmsford and be a British Passport holder.
