Working Hours: Day Shift – Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm / Friday 2pm Finish (flexible working hours) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance & Operations team. This plant-based role will leverage your mechanical expertise to enhance plant compliance, reliability, and integrity. You'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within a 24/7 production facility, contributing to new installations, maintenance strategies, and project management. Key Responsibilities: Ensure plant compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 standards. Manage day-to-day and long-term mechanical engineering and maintenance needs. Design and commission mechanical modifications and installations. Optimize maintenance strategies to enhance reliability and plant uptime. Mentor and train technicians and apprentices. Respond to plant issues and emergency breakdowns to minimize disruption. Supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and related documentation. Skills & Experience: Required Experience: 5–10 years post-graduate or post-apprenticeship experience in plant/facilities environments. Familiarity with chemical or effluent treatment facilities. Proficiency in PSSR compliance and project management. Experience of working upon rotating equipment To have knowledge of plant logistics and to have supported on site contractors Key Skills: Expertise in boilers, chillers, gas distribution, refrigeration and effluent treatment. Strong mechanical design and problem-solving abilities. Proactive and self-driven with excellent team collaboration skills. Strong analytical capabilities and practical mindset.
