WHAT IS ON OFFER Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a Sample Preparation Technician to join our laboratory in Liverpool. Responsible to the ICP Manager and Operators for carrying out multiple analytical procedures associated with the preparation of sample solutions submitted to the ICP department prior to analysis. Performing this role in such a manner to ensure that a high degree of precision, accuracy, and efficient service is provided on the various types of samples / commodities submitted to the laboratory for analytical evaluation. It is possible that the role may involve progression towards instrumentation (AAS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS), this depends on the post holder’s observed competency, full training will be provided. To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Essential Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy. High attention to detail. Ability to follow instruction. Able to demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity and can regularly carry loads of up to 15Kg without issue. A team player, working alongside others with positivity and respect. Presenting a positive attitude and take pride in their work. High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision and be able to use own initiative A willingness to take full ownership of the role. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity.
