School Safeguarding Officer Slough, Berkshire ASAP Start Permanent (Employed directly by the school) £31,581 37 hours a week 39 weeks a year THE ROLE Our client is an all through school that caters for Primary and Secondary school students from 4 to 18 years old based in Slough, Berkshire. They are looking for a Safeguarding Officer to join them ASAP on a permanent basis (Employed directly by the school) and who will share responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school (including online safety) with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and wider safeguarding team. You will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children. To remove barriers to learning for targeted students in the classroom and in unstructured time such as break and lunchtime and supporting 1:1 talking interventions. Some safeguarding activities may be delegated to deputies, but the DSL will retain ultimate lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection.
