The Role
Reporting into the CEO you will lead and manage direct reports across Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality and Warranty in order to achieve the agreed operating plan. In this role you will have ownership and control of all operational inputs impacting business P&L performance. Working closely with the business unit financial controller you will be expected to report to the senior management team on a regular basis against forecasts and budgets, making tactical & influencing strategic decisions to shape the business ensuring that business objectives are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities-
* Management of the company health and safety systems and processes, including risk management and disaster control with the Head of SHEQ
* To ensure that the quality of each product is to the required and defined standard, meeting or exceeding customer requirements and to formally manage the business quality processes along with the Quality Team
* Management of capacity to ensure that labour is balanced with the requirements of the plan
* Ensuring the technical resources or the team are deployed to best advantage of the business to engender a culture of continuous improvement alongside engineering and new product development.
* To oversee weekly contract and pre-contract reviews in order to manage key milestones and risks at a detailed level, and having a formal template for production readiness that is communicated with all relevant staff, especially heads of departments
* Management of all operations employees and their welfare, as well as enforcing the necessary rules and processes
* Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business growth strategies.

You will have a successful & demonstrable track record of achievement career to date within Manufacturing & Engineering Operations leadership roles e.g. Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Ops Director or Plant / General Manager levels. A engaging, strong and influential people leader with excellent communication skills, you will install and progress processes & cultures that deliver consistently high performance standards across H&S, Quality, Production Output / Productivity and On-Time delivery.
