This is an exciting opportunity to join Thirteen Group as their Head of Investment Planning. Reporting to the Director of Investment Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Thirteen Group provides first-class homes to its customers by exceeding service and regulatory expectations through the delivery of investment strategies. This will involve leading the collection, management, and analysis of all property data to enable activity that drives long-term improvements to home quality.
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Promote a collaborative environment where colleagues can make customer-focused decisions in line with investment strategies.
2. Support and resolve customer queries promptly and take accountability for resolutions when necessary.
3. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve home quality and maximise returns on investment.
4. Oversee a comprehensive and reliable data collection program to support ongoing operations.
5. Lead the development of 1, 2, and 5-year home investment plans, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
6. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure the 30-year business plan integrates the investment approach effectively.
7. Manage and improve property data systems, ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and safety requirements.
8. Lead the Technical Design team to provide timely, accurate design and handover packs for delivery teams.
9. Collaborate with portfolio management to inform decisions on disposal, acquisition, demolition, and regeneration.
10. Ensure all planning and design activities comply with local authority planning, CDM, and building safety regulations.
11. Prioritise the safety of colleagues, customers, and the public by ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation.
Thirteen Group is looking to appoint an experienced leader who has the following attributes:
1. Significant experience in developing customer-focused services and ensuring continuous improvement.
2. Strong understanding of investment management principles including relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
3. Demonstratable leadership, people management, data, organisational, and project management skills.
4. Thorough knowledge and experience of property and investment planning within a housing association.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements including budget formulation, cost control, value for money principles.
