The Highway Delivery Team is a dedicated service area within Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to delivering a comprehensive service of the construction, maintenance and other works relating to the public highway and associated assets. The Highway Delivery Team is responsible for the delivery of a variety of maintenance and construction projects including the annual road improvement programme, routine maintenance, construction schemes, traffic management and environmental improvements projects within the Rotherham borough as well as providing out of hours emergency call out and winter service operations and support for other services in severe weather events. The Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial and cost management support to the Highways Delivery Team, ensuring value for money, financial control, and compliance with contractual and procurement requirements. The role involves managing costs related to highway maintenance and improvement projects, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.
