Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEN in the classroom. Assist the class teacher with personalized learning plans designed for each child's needs. Help children build social and emotional skills, ensuring their well-being is prioritised. Make learning accessible and enjoyable by tailoring academic tasks. Maintain a nurturing, safe, and positive learning environment. Collaborate closely with the SENCO, other teaching staff, and the wider school team.Requirements: Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential. A strong passion for working with children with SEN. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Patience, adaptability, and a caring nature.
