CAD Design Engineer (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Cheltenham, UK (On-site)

Role Overview:
Working within the Engineered Systems Manufacturing Unit (ESMU), the CAD Design Engineer will become a member of the Drawing Office team which takes responsibility for the generation of CAD models and all associated drawings to support with the manufacture of (but not limited to) heat exchanger, pump or pressure reducing packaged systems.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:
1. Producing models and working design drawings using the company’s standard CAD system in collaboration with Design & Estimating Engineers using P & IDs, BOM and ESMU datasheets.
2. Generating customer drawings, general arrangements and manufacturing drawings from parts models.
3. Ensuring designs comply with health & safety requirements and legislation such as CDM and PER.
4. Providing models of packaged systems, pipe layouts, fixtures, frames, panels etc.
5. Creating drawings of parts that can be manufactured (mainly welding) using general engineering principles, plus P & IDs, control panel drawings and purchasing specifications.
6. Providing material part lists and supplier information.
7. Modifying existing drawings and managing engineering changes through PLM system.
8. Supporting production in the design of test rigs and fixtures.
Your previous experience is likely to include:
1. Using CAD software and working within manufacturing processes.
2. Application of recognised drawing standards and control.
3. Designing of steam systems and piping layouts.
To be successful in this role you will:
