Our Complex Care division covers many care needs including Tracheostomy Care, Ventilation Management, Pulse Oximetry Monitoring (Oxygen Saturation), Suctioning, Nutrition, Epilepsy Care, Diabetes Management and Continence care.
Working within any care environment can be high pressure and unpredictable. There are times the individuals that we support will be in crisis and it is essential that the individual applying for this role understands this and is able to remain calm and professional whilst supporting those in need.
This is a role with direct patient access; a full Enhanced DBS check will be required.
Training will be given to all coordinators including fully funded Care Certificate training, safeguarding training and a comprehensive induction.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the bidding process for referrals and care packages.
2. Key liaison point for our clients whether that be parents, guardians, local authorities or ICBs.
3. Understanding the needs of the service user and client, and working with the team to ensure excellent care is delivered.
4. Sourcing candidates through a variety of methods and creating, maintaining, and developing a network of candidates within your niche area.
5. Screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates in-line with your client's requirements.
6. Compiling and coordinating staff rosters to enhance care, allocating staff to packages based upon skillset.
7. Ensuring each package has adequate resources at all times.
8. Working to support the Registered Managers in delivery of effective care packages.
9. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with Service users, clients and candidates.
10. Adhering to KPIs set surrounding recruitment of staff in focus areas, hours of care delivered, client engagement and high quality care.
11. Taking part in the on-call service (rota based) working out of hours to support the business’ needs due to care being delivered 24 hours.
Person Specification:
1. Previous experience working as a coordinator within Care packages and ideally Complex Physical care.
2. Able to work independently to push division forward, whilst able to work alongside other teams and colleagues to reach common goals.
3. Service driven and able to work when under pressure.
4. Effective communicator who can liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
5. Self-motivated and able to work to targets/KPIs.
