Overview
The Pharmacy Dispenser plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. Duties
* Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for distribution.
* Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including proper usage and potential side effects.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
* Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care and medication safety.
* Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and organising work areas.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
