JOB TITLE: Membership Events Manager LOCATION: Hybrid - Stoneleigh Park, CV8 RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Membership BRIEF SUMMARY OF MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The Membership Events Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of a full range of local, regional, and national events. This role involves collaborating closely with colleagues, the Board, and regional committees to deliver events that effectively meet the needs of both the organisation and its membership base. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing awards and in-person events. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with colleagues, members, and industry stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the landscaping sector. Create, maintain, and manage an annual events calendar that aligns with the business plan and budget, catering to the needs and preferences of members. Organise and oversee the National Landscape Awards, taking full ownership of venue selection, technical delivery, and event management. Collaborate with colleagues on entries, judging, communications, sponsorship, and ticket sales. Monitor and evaluate event attendance against agreed targets, providing regular reports on progress and insights for improvement. Assist in organising and attending member events, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Work with the marketing team to gather feedback on events to inform future planning and enhancements. Collaborate with other stakeholders, including beneficiary charities, to deliver successful events that align with organisational goals. In partnership with the Head of Membership, develop and implement a long-term strategy for the National Landscape Awards to maintain its status as the industry-leading awards ceremony. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Proven experience in event management, particularly in managing awards and in-person events within a membership or association context. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking the initiative when required. Passionate about the landscaping industry and dedicated to enhancing member experiences.
