About the Role: Due to company growth, we are looking to appoint a Drainage Assistant to join our dynamic Depot teams. Working as part of a two person teams, you will be responsible for attending drainage related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing, cleansing and reactive call outs. A drivers licence is required for the role due to travel across the Midlands area. Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire (covering the Leicestershire area) Hours: Monday to Friday – 47.5 hours per week (with a 30 minute unpaid break) Salary: £30,875 per annum About you: Applicants should ideally have experience from a utility or similar background. The Lanes Group will provide all training required for the role such as high-pressure water jetting, confined space, spill response, etc. As part of a team, you’ll be shadowing/assisting our experienced Drainage Engineers either on a HGV Jetvac or a Vanpack. The role will include a number of drainage related issues, including emergencies such as blockages and cleaning pipes during maintenance programmes. What is essential is the ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. We operate 24/7 which means you will be required to be flexible. Full training/PPE/use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our Service Engineers have the right tools, competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.
