Employee Relations Case Manager ABP UK (part of ABP Food Group) is a food business that specialises in the supply and development of award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale. Reporting to our Head of HR (England & Central), this is an exciting new opportunity to join the Central HR Team at our state of the art offices in Birmingham. The role will support, from Birmingham, our 21 sites with all employee relations matters. Some travel maybe required to our sites as part of this role. What do we offer? Life assurance scheme Pension scheme (3% ER contribution) Free parking Cycle to work scheme hire a bike and accessories, saving on tax and national insurance We encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities for you to develop your career Colleague forums, employee recognition schemes and length of service awards Wellbeing support, including access to our Employee Assistance Programme Coaching, training and support if you have the right interpersonal skills we’ll help with the rest The role involves: Advising stakeholders on legal risks, potential impacts and propose business focused solutions Support external legal counsel in the rare event of tribunal litigation Build effective relationships with HR and Operational colleagues to ensure you are a trusted ER partner who offers the right advice at the right time Report progress to relevant stakeholders on ER cases Support employment related projects such as change programmes (both TUPE and redundancy) and merger & acquisition activities Offer policy and strategic advice Proactively advise on changes to the law and the impact this may have on our business Provide support to the HR team on all employment matters including complex grievances and disciplinary issues and contracts Offer training and coaching to the wider HR community at sites What are we looking for? Qualified ER case worker from a jurisdiction based on UK law Large scale ER case work experience (both experience in house or with a law firm will be considered) Experience working within a large complex organisation at a fast pace Ability to identify and summarise key issues, risks and impact for a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation Strong communication skills Ability to work under pressure Other companies may call this role ER Case Manager, Employee Relations Case Advisor, Employee Relations Specialist, Employee Relations Partner, Employee Relations Consultant
