Hillmorton High School is a diverse urban coeducational school situated in the South-West of Christchurch. The school is a fast-growing Y7–13 school with dedicated middle and senior schools. We have a roll of around 1400 and with further building works underway, the roll is expected to increase in the next few years. We provide students with a caring and supportive environment to help them achieve academic excellence, leadership skills, and a love of learning.
We are seeking an energetic and innovative teacher of hard materials to join our technology department. You will be passionate about working with young people and have the ability to develop strong, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, and kaiako.
The ability to teach junior food and nutrition is desirable.
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the understanding and ability to teach using culturally responsive and relational pedagogy is essential.
The successful applicant must be a NZ registered teacher and be willing to commit to our co-curricular programme.
