We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, long-term SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive primary school in Enfield. This role focuses on providing specialist support to children with autism in a well-structured and nurturing environment. You will work alongside experienced teachers and a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT), making a positive impact on the learning and development of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, is desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and development.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or a Level 3 SEN qualification, are preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children with ASD and other associated needs both in class and during outdoor activities.
• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and implement strategies to support children’s emotional and social development.
• Provide 1:1 support or work in small groups to enhance learning experiences.
• Help facilitate learning outside the classroom, making use of the sensory circuit in the playground and accessing local facilities.
• Work closely with teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the specific needs of the children.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists and educational psychologists, to ensure holistic support for the students.
