What you'll do
In the Digital Insights & Analytics team, to meet that ambition we are tackling key challenges facing M&S by maximising billions of data points across our millions of customers. From redefining our personalised offers, to building cross-channel marketing experiments, to understanding how our customers engage across our varied digital channels, we are working on big problems that require innovative thinking and sharp problem solving.
As part of the team, you will work alongside a group of analysts to implement analytical solutions in a demanding and fast-paced commercial environment. With an intuitive grasp of data and analytics, you will be passionate about driving innovative analytical thinking and proving the benefits of a data-driven approach.
By using sophisticated analytics and insight, you will be helping business partners understand not only what customers do, but helping understand why customers do what they do. This work is essential in enabling areas to make informed, accurate, and timely decisions from the targeted information you help supply them.
* Work closely with partners to fully understand requirements and provide collaborative solutions based on a commercial and analytical understanding.
* Contribute to delivering the team's objectives and strategy and help shape the future direction.
* Present analytical findings in a visually compelling manner, with action-oriented recommendations that answer key business questions.
* Act as a data and analytical consultant to help identify opportunity, drive understanding or solutions across the business.
* Collaborate with the other analysts in the team to build a thriving analytics environment where knowledge and ideas are shared.
Who you are
* Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to varying audiences.
* A keen sharer of information with the ability to translate data into insight and deliver compelling commercial recommendations.
* Good knowledge of SQL across big data tables and experience/understanding of Adobe Analytics (Omniture).
* Ability to communicate effectively with the business partners to understand their needs and interpret how they could be fulfilled using the available data.
* Experience working in a fast-paced and effective Analytics or Insight functions.
