Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – Building Management & Lighting Controls

Area to be covered: London & South East
Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + £10,000 commission + Company Bonus
£5,500 car allowance or salary sacrifice EV & comprehensive benefits
Role Responsibilities:
1. Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of smart building technologies including building management/automation and lighting controls.
2. Working closely with M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers, lighting consultants, and end user consumers to drive sales.
3. Acting as the product champion for these products, supporting the wider specification and project delivery sales teams.
4. Providing technical expertise for all projects related to building management/automation and lighting controls.
5. Cross selling wiring accessories after securing lighting controls.
6. Initially spending the majority of time on the road with field sales team, then generating new specification opportunities.
7. Focusing on the hospitality industry, as well as commercial and high-end residential sectors.
8. Replying to RFQs and providing expert advice on technology.
9. Conducting presentations and providing technical support.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience selling smart building technologies such as building management/automation or lighting controls.
2. Contacts within M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers, or lighting consultants are advantageous.
3. Client-facing field sales experience.
4. Understanding of closed and open protocol systems.
5. Experience in the hospitality sector may be advantageous.
6. Highly organized, energetic, and IT literate.
