As Assistant Director Governance, you'll contribute to our governance foundations while adapting to an increasingly complex regulatory environment. What you'll be doing Working alongside our Chief Governance Officer, you'll guide a talented team through a period of professional growth and development and help shape our governance approach for the future. · Create and implement governance solutions and practice that enhance our framework. · Guide and support our governance team, supporting each person’s unique professional journey. · Cultivate essential relationships across our organisation, from Board level to operational teams. · Design and oversee effective risk management and compliance processes. · Facilitate best practice sharing and continuous improvement in corporate governance. · Build collaborative partnerships with external regulators and stakeholder groups. We're headquartered in Bath and offer hybrid working arrangements with a mix of office and home working. Your collaborative leadership approach and coaching mindset will help nurture and develop talent, building on individual and team strengths to create an effective governance function. You’ll bring: • A relevant degree (Business, Law, Accountancy, or Public Administration) or equivalent experience. • Professional qualification from the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGI) such as ACG/ACIS, or equivalent experience. • Experience in a senior governance role with a track record of supporting teams through periods of change. • Experience in building effective relationships with Board members, executives and regulators. • Skills in developing talent and fostering team engagement. • A collaborative approach to leadership. • Housing sector experience is valuable but not essential – we welcome perspectives from other regulated environments.
