You will be part of the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) Warehousing and Distribution (W&D) Contract Management Team (CMT), monitoring, controlling, and managing all W&D activities necessary to ensure that the contractor delivers the services required by the RN customer, as defined in the contract. Leading a team of five, you will foster a culture of innovative thinking, learning from experience, and challenging the status quo to drive continuous, quality improvements. Regular in-person attendance is required at HMNB Portsmouth for 3 days per week, to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role. You will report to a Senior Operations Manager at the Head Office in Abbey Wood, near Bristol, with occasional travel to that site. Prior notice will be given, and subsistence costs will be covered. What you’ll be doing Working collaboratively with the warehousing and distribution contractor to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient means of service delivery against the contractual requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Being the DE&S focal point at the Naval Base for all warehousing and distribution matters and by leading your team in supporting the delivery of the contractual services. Co-ordinating and conducting regular rolling, weekly reviews with the contractor at the Service Delivery Working Group (SDWG) to proactively manage day to day operations and management of the contract. Working collaboratively with a wide range of Naval Base stakeholders and representing DE&S at the HMNB Portsmouth Governance meetings. Acting as the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Manager ensuring that the Contractor executes the 100% Annual Physical verification of GFE Assets. Person specification To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria : Demonstrable experience of undertaking Operations Management work or associated disciplines. Proven communication, influencing, and engagement skills with all internal and external stakeholders, at all levels. Experience in managing supplier performance and service delivery.
