Home, a place where you belong
Calling all night owls! We’re looking for a dedicated night worker who won’t fall asleep on the job! If you’re as energised as a new Duracell bunny with the alert skills of a meerkat, this is the job for you!
We’re looking for new Housing Concierges to join our growing teams. Here at Home Group, we look after our vulnerable customers, including those with complex care needs. Your job will be to ensure our customers are safe, our buildings are secure, and that we maintain good relations with our neighbours.
Typical Responsibilities as a Housing Concierge:
* Be the first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network aren’t available.
* Manage the health and safety of the building, including patrolling to check fire doors and ensuring everything is locked and secure.
* Think on your feet and manage situations, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when necessary.
* Assist in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the premises.
Fancy going home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers' lives for the better? You’ll do that here, working for one of the top ten Great Places to Work in the UK!
You bring:
* Calmness under pressure with great communication skills.
* A passion for supporting the most vulnerable in society, possibly with experience in public service or the military.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail to spot changes in behaviour.
* Confidence to intervene sensitively when necessary.
* A team player with the ability to work independently, backed by our out-of-hours emergency support team.
* A vehicle insured for business purposes, with mileage covered by us.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This is under regular review.
Our Team:
You’ll join Christina and our amazing team of coordinators, including our brilliant handyman Tony. We’re passionate about what we do and proud of our service, always going the extra mile for our customers. We see ourselves as a supportive work family.
Job Details:
* Although you’ll work nights and alone, we hold regular daytime training and team meetings.
* Ability to use technology for creating and updating support plans and keeping in touch with colleagues.
* An Enhanced DBS check is required, and we cover the costs.
A place where you belong:
Great things happen when we can be ourselves at work. We want all our colleagues to be who they truly are here. Our internal diversity networks support us all to be our best. Together we make Home Group a great place to work!
What’s in it for you?
* 34 days leave (including bank holidays and a “me day”), increasing to 39, plus time off for volunteering.
* Health cash plan saving you from £1140 per annum, covering costs for dental, optical, and more.
* Over 800 high street discounts on groceries, holidays, and more.
* Opportunities for career growth within the organization.
* Support for wellbeing, making us the 10th Best place in the UK for Wellbeing.
