We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our head office Finance team on a part-time permanent basis. Your role as the Payroll Assistant will be to support the Payroll Manager with the preparation, process, and administration of monthly payroll.
What you will do
* Assist in all payroll administrative tasks
* Gather and track all payroll changes from HR
* Support the Payroll Manager with all tasks related to running the monthly payroll, including reconciliation and submission of pension deduction data to the Company's pension provider.
* Process court orders, mortgage references, Child Support Agency questionnaires, and statutory payments such as maternity, paternity, parental leave, and SSP.
* Keep Payments & deductions spreadsheet up to date and support the annual year-end process including P11Ds and PSA.
* Maintain and review the payroll inboxes, dealing with or escalating colleague queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Any other ad hoc requests as and when required.
What you will need
* Previous payroll experience essential
* Intermediate Excel skills essential, advanced preferred.
* Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
* Experience and confidence handling high-volume complex payrolls and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
