Job summary Wombwell Medical Centre is looking for a Receptionist to join the existing team, who needs to be reliable, motivated, team player with good telephone and communication skills. Ideally we are looking for part-time hours but would consider a job share opportunity for the right candidates. We are open from 8am until 6pm and flexibility is essential as you will be required to work between these hours to meet the needs of the business, and cover colleagues when required. We also provide extended hours on a Monday till 8pm and Wednesday from 7am. Experience of working in a GP surgery is preferred however full training will be provided for the right candidate. Main duties of the job You will form part of our friendly, but hard working, reception team, providing a professional, efficient and effective reception service to both patients and health professionals alike. Confidentiality is an essential part of the role. Key responsibilities: Make, amend and cancel clinical appointments for patients using the EMIS Web clinical system. Care navigate patients to the most appropriate health professional/service when booking appointments. Deal with and record accurate messages from clinicians and patients Dealing with patient prescriptions requests About us You would be joining a team of 8 Receptionists and 7 Admin/secretaries working at a friendly GP surgery located in Wombwell. We have a list size of 10,000 patients and achieved a rating of 'Good' at our most recent CQC visit.
