The main purpose of this role is to carry out recovery of evidence, examinations, tests, and processes in the laboratory, as instructed, to clearly defined standards and report the factual outcome (generated by an instrument or from a limited set of outcomes) either internally or externally.
This will entail carrying out Chemistry & Documents activity in the new Search & Recovery Capability.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant science-related subject OR where no formal qualifications exist prove relevant operational experience in a forensic environment.
You will have excellent communication skills, as well as excellent organisation and time management skills.
You will also have up-to-date working knowledge of all relevant legislation and guidelines (including Health and Safety, COSHH, and contamination guidelines).
This full-time post is permanent and is subject to standard Recruitment Vetting.
You will work 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
