Applications are invited for a part-time Communications Officer (40% FTE) to work on Dementias Platform UK (DPUK), a project aiming to accelerate progress in dementia research. The post will support the all-round promotion of DPUK’s work during its second phase of funding. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital and is for a fixed term (funded to Dec 2025). You will work with the Communications Manager and deliver priority activities including engaging with researchers in the DPUK community; planning and implementing social media communication; refreshing and creating new web content; and helping to co-ordinate and promote our varied programme of online and in-person events for researchers and the public. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. With excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills, you will be confident creating and editing multimedia content, and be able to assimilate complex information quickly and make it accessible for a broader audience. A science background or experience in a science or research communications role would be desirable. You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application.
