Job overview
As a Trainee Recruitment Support Officer (Apprentice), the individual will work towards the full job description outlined within this document. A robust training programme will be undertaken during the first 12-18 months, which will include CIPD Level 3 in HR Support, plus in-house training.

Main duties of the job
Supported by the Recruitment Co-ordinator and the Recruitment Service Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing, enhancing and publishing of adverts, preparing conditional offers, liaising with our candidates and undertaking a safe and fair recruitment process. Experience of customer facing administration is essential in this busy role. Our customers consist of existing employees at all levels throughout the Trust, newly appointed candidates, candidates thinking about applying, agencies and other Trust departments.
Strong administration/organisational skills are a must for this very busy role.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Level 2 or 3 standard of education (e.g. GCSE/ALevel/NVQ/BTEC) or equivalent experience demonstrating numeracy and literacy
* Level 2 Certified English and Maths (GCSE/Functional Skills) as this is a requirement for many learning programmes/professional development pathways
Experience
* Experience of using information to make decisions and inform action to be taken. Experience of making recommendations for improvements in relation to systems and administrative processes.
* An understanding of how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries and pass on information promptly.
* Experience of working independently and as part of a team.
* Use of applicant tracking system.
* Knowledge of Recruitment processes.
* Knowledge and understanding of working in a wider system of integrated care.
Evidence of Particular skills and aptitudes
* Proven and effective administrative skills.
* Understands the need for confidentiality.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Confident in using ICT systems relevant to role, including Management Information Systems and MS Office.
* Able to work on own initiative without constant supervision.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and professionally and remain calm and polite under pressure.
* Demonstrates attention to detail and works methodically, responding to changes to meet deadlines.
* Able to help others acquire skills and experience.
