The role:
Core job function
* To ensure product quality is maintained according to customer specification.
* The investigation and resolution of customer complaints and internal quality concerns in a timely manner.
* Conducting Advanced Production Quality Planning test work on new part introductions to ensure smooth handover to Production.
Role and Responsibilities
* Receiving customer complaints and logging details, initiating 8D report and coordinating investigation through to completion (including the implementation of corrective actions where applicable).
* Alerting and liaising with relevant departments of customer and internal quality concerns.
* Conducting investigations into internal product failures.
* Able to quarantine product and release where necessary. Update site quarantine log.
* Carrying out APQP activities as requested by the Quality Manager including dimensional / capability studies, product testing, PPAP, Process FMEA / Control Plans and Part Submission Warrants.
* Maintaining calibration records of all QA measuring equipment and ensuring re-calibration is undertaken within defined schedules.
* Generating & issuing Quality Alerts to the relevant departments as and when needed.
* Liaising with other departments to improve product quality and cost efficiency via scrap reduction.
* Lead production / material / packaging trials as requested by the Quality Manager.
* Supporting Production with Operator product knowledge training.
* Help in maintaining the Company’s ISO 9001, FDA, BBA and BRC certificates.
* Introduction and monitoring of statistical processes data / C pk results.
* Maintaining site product specifications, product SOP’s & PIPack’s.
* Conduct current product and trial product testing as and when required.
* Conduct internal process and product audits.
* Attend and present information on Quality board at daily production meeting.
