You will be responsible for the preparation of the group consolidation and financial reporting under IFRS,finance, reporting and corporate compliance for the group, as well as assisting on the planning, strategy and future M&A work with the GFC/CFO.Working as part of a small head office team, you will will liaise on a daily basis with the CFO and Group FC, as well as the founder and senior operational management team.This is an exciting role in an entrepreneurial business with ambitious plans for growth (both organic and acquisition) and development globally. This individual will be rewarded with generous remuneration and an excellent career path.Key duties and responsibilities:Timely preparation of the multi-currency group consolidation under IFRSResponsibility for calculating and applying IFRS adjustments including adjustments for revenue, leases and development costsEnsuring that accounting policies are aligned across the groupSupporting with financial integration and acquisition accounting for future M&AIdentification and implementation of systems and process improvementsPreparation of revenue dashboards, reporting packs and management accounts for group companiesSupporting with the preparation of the PLC annual report, interim financial statements and statutory accounts of subsidiary companiesLiaison with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papersSupporting with the preparation of the annual budget and updating financial forecastsMaintaining and updating financial models to support the valuation of intangible assetsResponsibility for day-to-day finance of some group companies including the posting of journals and transactionsOwnership of the accounting for inventory, fixed assets, deferred income, accruals, prepayments and other areas for the main trading entityWorking closely with other team members in the UK and overseas to complete the monthly close processEnsuring that balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, monitoring risks and opportunitiesSupporting with the preparation of sales tax and corporate tax returns - UK and overseas.Other ad hoc duties.Essential:Qualified accountant with a practice background (0-5 years post-qualified experience)Strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of reporting under UK GAAP/IFRSHands-on and can-do attitudeExperience of working in a group environment with multiple territories/currenciesExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsConfident in extracting, manipulating and reporting data from finance systems in an excel based environmentA high degree of spreadsheet competence.
