Are you a hands-on Instrument Technician looking for your next contract role? Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to join a multi-skilled team, where safety and operational performance are key. You’ll be working in a technically challenging environment, helping to maintain the site’s instrumentation and control systems that support the processing of gas from offshore fields.
Based on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, working 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair a wide range of instruments and control systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
* Carry out preventative maintenance in line with schedules and procedures.
* Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs with minimal disruption to production.
* Accurately complete maintenance records in Maximo and raise work requests for any defects.
* Manage calibration gases and spares for testing gas monitoring equipment.
* Support shutdown planning and execution.
* Work closely with contractors and vendors on site activities.
* Promote and uphold strict Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
What You’ll Need:
* Time-served trade apprenticeship in Instrumentation or similar.
* HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Compex certification is essential.
* Experience working with turbine control systems is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of compression fittings and small bore tubing would be an advantage.
* A proactive, safety-focused mindset and good fault-finding ability.
* Must reside in or near East Riding of Yorkshire.
