Job Purpose
To achieve progressive growth within the distribution channel on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis by creating and developing business opportunities nationwide. This role is 80% account management and 20% sales
Primary Job Responsibilities and Measurement
1. Creating new and developing existing distribution channels nationwide.
2. Identifying new customers for products and services as well as providing the necessary technical and pricing information to gain business – support & training provided.
3. Following up on sales leads provided by the Marketing Department and Internal Sales team
4. Identifying new areas of growth within the marketplace, product mix and new markets.
5. Develop solutions / project sales, ensuring products gain maximum exposure.
6. Liaise with internal and external sales team on management of distribution business.
7. Agree rebate deals that will be profitable and help increase market share.
8. Participation in weekly/monthly Sales Meetings.
9. Liaise with Purchasing Department in order to ensure correct levels of distribution products are stocked.
10. Organisation of marketing and promotional literature.
Scope of Role
11. Increasing business levels and achieving the maximum GPM for all products.
12. Maintaining good customer relations with clients.
13. Developing products presence in the marketplace.
14. Keeping up-to-date with technical developments and information on Group products. Providing feed-back on competitor products and activity
Person Specification
You will be a knowledgeable National Accounts Manager with demonstrable hands-on experience of the above responsibilities. You will share a passion for the company values which are: customer-oriented, success-oriented, family-oriented and Innovative. You will thrive in a busy environment.
Skills, Qualifications & Expertise
15. Highly motivated with a desire to achieve targets.
16. Trustworthy and honest.
17. Appropriate technical aptitude and/or qualifications.
18. Proven ability to manage own work and visit programme.
19. Ability to establish good working relationships and good negotiation skills.
20. Strong IT skills in Excel and Word and E-mail.
21. Knowledge of SAP an advantage.
22. Loyal and company-focused.
23. Full and preferably clean driving licence.
