Teaching Assistant
Area- Northfield, Birmingham,B31
Day Rate-£85-£100
Days- Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours- 8:30am to 3:30pm
Start- ASAPLTF Recruitment are searching for a proactive teaching assistant to join our primary school in the Northfield area. The successful candidate will support the teaching and learning of children in a year six class alongside the class teacher. This role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
The Role:
Assist the teacher in classroom behaviour management and preparing resources for students.
Plan strategies and sessions to improve students learning experience.
Support children with SEN and manage classroom behaviour
Working on a 1-1, group basis or whole classroom basis with students.
Supporting with interventions
Work as part of a team with other staff members to best support students
Develop a knowledge of the school's curriculum. The Applicant:
Level 3 Supporting teaching and learning in schools or equivalent.
Previous experience (At least 1 year) of working in a primary school.
Experience of supporting children with SEN
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN
