An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiorespiratory Team for x2 Receptionist Administrators working 30hrs & 15hs per week.
You will be required to work flexibly Monday to Friday working 08:00 to 16:00 and/or 09:00 to 17:00 in CardioRespiratory or Chest Pain Unit.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our friendly supportive team and would welcome applicants with excellent communication & problem solving skills, looking to develop into the role.
You will require high levels of tact and diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively. You will be working alongside a number of receptionist administrators, consultants and various other clinical staff, covering a wide range of receptionist and clerical admin duties ie. managing patient calls and queries, clinic preparation, appointment scheduling. Therefore, a flexible approach to workload is required.
If you are a confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clinicians, clinical staff and patients and a have strong organisational & time management skills, with the ability to multi-task under pressure, working flexibly - come along and meet the team.

Post will be based at Queens Hospital Burton but may require work at the Sir Robert Peel Hospital in Tamworth.
• Provide a high standard of administrative support in own departmental area
• Provide effective communication across all boundaries to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive administration service.
• To ensure all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained.
• Undertake general administration duties in respect of own department requirements I.e., diary management, organising associated activities/paperwork, clinic preparation, appointment scheduling.
• Prioritise own work schedule, to ensure an efficient and timely output within all areas of responsibility, to assist in achievement of quality and audit standards.
• Awareness and understanding of sensitive information, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure timely delivery of regular and ad hoc, data / information requested by the management team, producing reports as required.
• Use of IT applications to monitor, prepare and validate databases as appropriate.
• Assist in any additional related project work as directed.
• To actively participate in regular team and departmental meetings.
• Understand and monitor long waiters, waitlists and 18W RTT.
• To greet patients at Reception Desk and book them in/out for their appointments.
• Answer telephone queries from patients
