We are currently recruiting for a Field Sales Manager (FSM) in our north aggregates team. This role will cover the whole north region and location of the successful applicant can be anywhere within the region; there will be a requirement to travel as part of the role.
This role is a crucial part of the north aggregates senior management team and will create and drive the commercial strategy for the region, as well as working nationally with colleagues to drive best practice.
Responsibilities:
* Commercial excellence – using your own knowledge, working with colleagues and reviewing data; identify areas for improvement and implement best practice to increase commercial acumen in the team and deliver regional revenue
* Leadership – being a key role model for your team and others in the region, having continuous development conversations with your team and finding opportunities to support & develop them
* Working together – although you will be part of the aggregates management team you will work with your colleagues from other business lines to identify & share best practice, find collaborative solutions for customers and review market opportunities for the business as a whole
* Key account management – whilst the majority of customer accounts will be managed by the sales team there are a number of key accounts in the region that you will take responsibility for
What you will need:
* Experience in the quarrying or heavy building/construction industry would be preferable but other operational/manufacturing experience would be considered
* Demonstrable experience in a sales management role, ideally covering multi-sites
* Experience leading & developing a remote sales team
* Ability to build & maintain strong customer relationships
* Experience creating commercial strategy and delivering this in a changing environment
