Service AssistantReporting to the Sutton Hoo Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll work within our Visitor Experience Team made up of the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, a Programming Assistant and our Archaeology & Engagement Manager.You'll work as a team to set up Sutton Hoo for summer, creating a festival feeling by installing bunting, gazebos and plenty of play equipment. During the summer holidays you'll be responsible for checking our play activities daily and engaging directly with visitors encouraging them to play and supporting them with the information they need to enjoy their day.For this year's Summer of Play national programming event, we're dedicated to a fun and immersive experience, creating a play hub with play activities themed around the story of Sutton Hoo and the Anglo-Saxons. You'll be responsible for setting up play equipment, checking it throughout the day and engaging with families on the many different play opportunities around the site. You'll contribute to the evaluation of our Summer of Play through engaging with families and finding out what they enjoyed and what could be improved. You'll also work alongside our volunteer teams who support our visitor experience team with the delivery of events and activities.Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property are clear and consistent.
