Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management
* Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
* Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
* Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to optimize efficiency.
* Inventory Control
* Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate inventory records using [specific software, if applicable].
* Coordinate with the procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels effectively.
* Team Leadership
* Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
* Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
* Schedule shifts and manage attendance records.
* Safety and Compliance
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities.
* Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
* Reporting and Communication
* Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other KPIs.
* Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
* Address and resolve any operational or staff issues promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred).
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
* Skills:
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations.

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
