The School and Role
This Secondary school with Sixth Form based in Benfleet are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to work in a well-established department on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary School as part of an established team, the desired Science Teacher will be planning and delivering lessons to KS3-KS4 students.
With a maximum capacity of around 600 students, the school can offer a Science Teacher smaller class sizes and supportive parents who care about their children’s education. A friendly community driven school, around 60% of pupils have SEN or additional learning needs, so successful Science Teacher applicants will be compassionate, caring and understanding.
The school sets high expectations for its students and has recently invested in brand new state of the art Science labs. Science Teachers have access to CPD opportunities, reduced school day hours and staff wellbeing initiatives. This Science Teacher role is a permanent role, starting in January 2025, with a TLR available for the right candidate.
Requirements
The desired Science Teacher will have;
Experience of working in a UK Secondary School as a Science Teacher
Knowledge of UK Curriculum and the ability to teach students how to problem-solve
Resilience, determination and a passion for your subject
PGCE with QTS and right to work in the UK
