Main duties of the job
The Radiology Information Team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to cover our existing postholder's role during maternity leave.
Using Excel, as well as other advanced data visualisation tools (Power BI) the Radiology Information Team provides key information and is an integral element to the overall performance of the Care Group within UHS.
We are a small, but growing team, and this opportunity will provide you with an exciting, invaluable experience and insight into the use of data visualisation within Radiology.
As part of this, data validation is a key element and you will be fully trained to extract, manipulate and validate large amounts of data which are vital in supporting our overall data for performance and operational purposes.

Job responsibilities
You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of analysing large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel and using the knowledge gained to then validate this data to ensure it meets internal guidelines and data submissions internally.
Experience in the use of Hospital computerised patient systems will be useful, to further analyse and check patient data, before any data submissions.
You will need to demonstrate experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential patient information.
You must be able to work to deadlines (both independently as well as under guidance) and have the ability to concentrate for long periods of time when required.

Essential
1. Educated to A-Level or NVQ Level 3 in Business
2. Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience

3. Courses/further study related to leadership and management
4. Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development (not including leadership and management
Knowledge and experience
Essential
5. Experience of dealing with non-routine / complex problems.
6. Significant administrative experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
7. Demonstrable experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
8. Ability to work using own initiative.
9. Ability to demonstrate a flexible and highly organised approach with an eye for detail.
