Job Title: Maths Teacher Location: Newbury, Berkshire Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Contract Type: Full-time, permanent (Term-time only) About the School Our client is a specialist school that provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare, and support for children and young people aged 6 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), as well as other complex needs. With three dedicated sites, the school delivers a structured and individualised education programme tailored to each student’s specific requirements, taking into account their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Teaching is delivered in small groups or on a one-to-one basis by fully qualified teachers and instructors, ensuring a supportive and personalised approach to learning. The Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team and deliver high-quality, engaging maths education to students with SEMH and complex needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver a high-quality and engaging mathematics curriculum tailored to the needs of students. Plan and implement effective teaching strategies to support students with SEMH and additional learning needs. Differentiate lessons to ensure all students are challenged and supported appropriately. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/carers. Work closely with the wider school team to ensure the overall development and wellbeing of students. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. About You The successful candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching mathematics. A passion for teaching and a commitment to inclusive education. Experience working with students with SEMH or other additional needs (desirable but not essential). Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
