Business Analysts are the key link between the wider business and the online Data team. They are involved in every facet of the development cycle, from estimation, prioritisation, development, test and deployment. Working hand in hand with business Product Owners our BA’s ensure that our development teams properly understand the business requirements through detailed analysis, investigation, product awareness and relationship building. Working hand in hand with the Data and Insights Manager and Lead Data Analyst the Business Analyst helps guide the team towards the successful delivery of new products / features. What you'll be doing: Work with business product owners and stakeholders to ensure that the business requirements are clearly defined and understood Perform detailed analysis of processes and data in support of the product development process Help define feature and user stories requirements and ensure that there are clear definitions of work done and what the priorities are Work as part of the data team to ensure that the analysts understand the requirements and be the conduit through which queries between the analysts and business users are resolved Have excellent organisational and communication skills along with an eye for detail and the ability to document clearly and concisely. What we're looking for: Experience of working with / around data is essential as is a strong grasp of business intelligence fundamentals. Essential Strong analytical and investigation skills Excellent communication and relationship development skills Good organisational skills Experience of working with data / databases SQL query writing Knowledge of BI fundamentals Experience of Agile project management Desirable PowerBI or similar e.g. Tableau Dimensional Modelling / Data Warehousing TFS or Azure DevOps Exposure to cloud based data technologies What's Next?
