Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant within our AGS EMEA Financial Reporting Team to be responsible for the production of timely, accurate and relevant management accounts and financial statements whilst ensuring tight internal controls are in place. You will have responsibility for entities assigned to you, which will include production of P&Ls, balance sheets, variance analysis and assist with producing the budget. You will have line management responsibility for 2 Accounts Assistants who oversee the bank accounts and run the intercompany process – covering our EMEA entities.
Your Opportunity
You will be responsible for:
1. Production and review of the Monthly Management Accounts
2. Ensure monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including client reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, payroll and tax related accounts.
3. Direct management of 2 team members.
4. To produce the monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations.
5. To produce the monthly, quarterly and annual EC sales returns and reconciliations.
6. To manage, produce and journal all the intercompany charges.
7. To ensure bank reconciliations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
8. To produce a full monthly commentary on each entity analysing performance against key KPIs.
9. Support with the production of year end statutory accounts and work with the auditors during their fieldwork.
10. To assist in production of annual overhead budget from the bottom up.
Qualifications
11. Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
12. Strong working knowledge of excel. Specifically know how to use and setup; VLOOKUPs, SUMIF & Pivot Tables.
13. Fully PC literate with a working knowledge of other MS Office packages, an aptitude for continual learning and development with different systems applications and multiple software packages
14. Ability to use IT packages (mainly Excel) to analyse and manipulate data.
15. Strong problem solving capabilities, strong analytical skills, numerate and flexibility to handle multiple tasks concurrently
16. Capable of working competently with diverse groups of people, data and processes accommodating an ever changing environment.
The role will be a hybrid working set-up at Bracknell office and home.
