Description Permanent Contract | £29,269 to £31,364 per annum (Scale G) | 37 hours per week | Hethersett Norfolk Library and Information Service is innovative and forward-looking and has installed Open Libraries self-service technology in 44 of its 47 libraries. The move has enabled us to significantly extend opening hours allowing customers to access and use libraries anytime between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Libraries are safe and welcoming public spaces used by people of all ages, backgrounds, experience and abilities. Libraries and library workers make a real difference. We are looking for an Electronic Library Supervisor to join the team to ensure that when libraries are operating in “Open Library” mode, customers have a safe and enjoyable visit. The role also undertakes IT development projects for the service and supports library colleagues with technical and other issues outside of 9-5 Monday to Friday. Open Libraries allow the people of Norfolk to use the library service outside staffed opening times. This post is a full-time role, covering the evening shift from 11.00am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday. As we need to ensure a continuous IT connection this is not hybrid or flexible working role and is 100% office based. As you may need occasionally need to visit remote library sites at short notice a full car driving license is essential for this role. As part of the package there may also be the opportunity to complete a Digital Support Technician - Level 3 apprenticeship as part of the role.
