We are looking for a passionate and creative Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator with a keen interest in young people and nature conservation. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by sharing the Green Team story in a way that inspires and engages a wide range of stakeholders.
A key focus of this role will be reaching young people on the platforms they use, creating engaging and relatable content that captures their attention and encourages them to connect with the Green Team. Through innovative storytelling, dynamic content creation, and multi-channel communications, you will help make the Green Team more widely known and accessible to young people, while also strengthening relationships with supporters, parents/carers, schools, partners, funders and the wider community.
By growing our reach and deepening engagement, you will play a vital role in expanding our impact on young people and greenspaces across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the Green Team’s projects and activities.
* Manage social media channels, website content, and email newsletters/bulletins
* Create compelling content, including blogs, press releases, and promotional materials.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support fundraising, volunteer and young people recruitment, and event promotion.
* Support event and programme booking platform (Bookwen) for participants and for events
* Assist wider team with Information gathering systems including surveys, polls, evaluation
* Produce Annual Impact Report
* Build relationships with media, partners, and the local community to enhance outreach efforts.
* Manage Green Team photo and film library and develop opportunities for film and video footage to support reporting and evaluation.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities, using analytics and feedback.
* Coordinate GT Marketing and Communications strategic direction including brand development and in house styles

* Ability to tailor content to engage young people through digital platforms.
