We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team for a part-time position, requiring 3 to 4 days per week. Our Harpenden location is conveniently situated within walking distance of the town centre and train station, and our branch surgery is in the centre of Wheathampstead with on-site parking available at both sites. As a member of our nursing team, you will work alongside 3 General Practice Nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistants.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to perform cervical screenings, administer a comprehensive range of immunisations, including childhood vaccinations, provide wound care (including Level 1 leg ulcers), and fulfill the complete spectrum of treatment room duties. We are a training practice and frequently host medical students and GP trainees. As part of the Harpenden Health Primary Care Network (PCN), we work collaboratively with other local practices and offer Extended Hours. Our PCN team includes Paramedics, Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, and Social Prescribers to deliver exceptional patient care.
