Social Mobility and Student Success (within the division of External Relations) is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with young people to join the team to encourage social mobility and address educational inequality.
You will have a creative approach and experience working with young people, teachers, and schools/colleges to coordinate outreach projects and activities designed to raise attainment and broaden the aspirations of students from widening participation (WP) backgrounds. You will liaise with key contacts to monitor students' progress in these activities and provide feedback to maximize their learning, helping them achieve their potential regardless of barriers.
This varied role offers the chance to develop knowledge of HE topics, including progression routes, student finance, UCAS applications, and student life. You will develop workshops and deliver presentations at partner WP schools and colleges to inform young people and parents about Lancaster University opportunities and support informed higher education decisions.
The role requires flexibility to work some weekends and evenings and willingness to travel across the North West and occasionally further within the UK.
This is a full-time, indefinite position; applications at 0.8 FTE are also welcomed. The role can be a blended position with remote and on-campus work, or solely on-campus. We particularly encourage applications from black and minority ethnic candidates to enhance staff diversity.
