Job Description
Purpose of role:
To provide our clients with first class service in regards to all aspects of end-to-end financial due diligence, financial modelling and reporting accountant engagements, with clients drawn from a variety of different industry sectors.
Key responsibilities:
Client (transaction services) work
* Analysis of historical and forecast income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets
* Sensitivity analysis considering potential upside and downside scenarios to the forecasts;
* Reporting of potential key issues for our client including identification of risks and making relevant recommendations to address these
* Analysing, reviewing and commenting on historical and forecast trading results and trends
* Taking ownership for management and reporting on smaller engagements, and managing discreet areas/sections of work on larger engagements
* Production of written reports within agreed timescales
* Day to day contact for the client during the assignment
* Dealing with client take on processes
* Billing and WIP management
* To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
Supervision
* Delegation and oversight of work to junior staff, reviewing and challenging their output;
* Appraisals/monitor staff performance
* On the job training for junior staff on a one-to-one basis
* Dealing with staff questions
Business development and marketing
* Maintenance of team credentials database
* Assistance in preparing for work pitches
* Assistance in the development and execution of business development initiatives
* Networking and maintaining relationships
Cross-selling and liaison with other departments
* Often working alongside colleagues from other departments
* Maintaining cross-divisional contacts

Qualifications
Education
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* A relevant professional qualification, for example Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst or Corporate Finance Diploma is highly desirable although not essential
