Joining a growing company undertaking all aspects of Accounting and some general operations administration. Our client is passionate about their work, looking for someone with a strong knowledge of accounting on Xero, but who is happy to get involved in the administration of other aspects of the business. Duties will include:
1. Reporting directly to the Managing Director
2. Accounts payable
3. Accounts receivable
4. Bank / credit card reconciliations
5. Monthly management accounts
6. VAT returns
7. Assisting with preparation of year end to send to external Accountants
8. Getting involved in general business operations, learning how the business runs
9. Offering improvements in accounts procedures to ensure the function is streamlined
10. Liaising with suppliers, clients and other members of staff and providing support
Previous experience in a sole responsibility accounts role would be highly beneficial, as would experience using Xero.
