About the Company
Ki Martial Arts Ltd is a small, independent family owned business, established in 1989. We supply martial arts clothing and equipment to martial arts schools and associations, shops and gyms; and hire out electronic scoring systems for tournaments, all from our warehouse and offices based in central Plymouth.
Job Purpose
An enthusiastic and hardworking Warehouse and Print Assistant is required to work as part of a team to assist the smooth and efficient running of our company. You will be responsible for receiving, labelling and storing incoming shipments, together with accurately picking and packing stock to fulfil customer orders, loading and securing goods to pallets, and moving them to the delivery area.
You will assist with cutting vinyl, producing digital prints and stickers, and heat pressing textiles and products. It is essential for you to comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures whilst ensuring the work environment is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties of this post will include, though not be limited to:
* Receiving, processing, labelling and strategically storing incoming stock to maximise storage space
* Managing stock rotation and trade stand stock, counting stock and updating inventory records, utilising inventory management software to track orders through to dispatch
* Assisting organising warehouse racking and bays for optimum efficiency
* Using forklift and pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack and arrange stock as required
* Promptly processing orders, including retrieving specified products from stock as well as packing, sealing and labelling appropriately
* Selecting appropriate cost-effective packaging to optimise courier pricing structures, and load and wrap pallet orders
* Cutting, weeding and printing textiles and other martial arts products using appropriate print methods
* Attending trade stands as necessary
* Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects and to work at height.
* Ability to safely operate warehouse/print machinery and equipment, and to stand for extended periods.
* Ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner
* Demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with others.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate with good numeric skills and multitasking abilities.
* Good decision-making skills, even under pressure.
* Ability to plan and think ahead, with strong problem-solving skills.

* Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
* Resilient, assertive, optimistic, open to change, self-aware and confident.
Desirable:
* Prior experience working in warehouse environment and valid fork lift licence.
* Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
* Proven record of hitting deadlines and achieving high standard results.
* Detail oriented with a good understanding of customer deliverables.
* Ability to work independently when required
* Proficiency in MS Office, and experience with inventory software, warehouse management software.
* Full, current, clean driving licence.
